Optibac For Babies & Children is a flavourless powder supplement developed specifically for babies, toddlers and children from birth to 12 years. Each sachet combines three carefully selected live-culture strains with prebiotic fructooligosaccharide (FOS) fibres and vitamin D3, providing an easy-to-use formula that can be incorporated into a child’s daily routine.

Each sachet provides 3 billion live microorganisms from Bifidobacterium breve M-16V®, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001. These strains have been selected for use in children’s formulations and are combined with 500mg of FOS fibre. Vitamin D3 provides 2.5µg (100IU), equivalent to 50% of the Nutrient Reference Value. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system in children.

The powder is designed to mix easily into cool food or drinks without significantly altering flavour. It contains no added sugars, artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives and is suitable for vegetarians. The manufacturer also identifies the formula as dairy free, gluten free, yeast free, soy free and GMO free.

Ingredients: Maltodextrin, Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) 500mg, live cultures: Bifidobacterium breve M-16V®, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001; Vitamin D3 2.5µg (100IU, 50% NRV) per sachet.

Directions: Give one sachet daily, preferably with a meal such as breakfast. Sprinkle onto cereal or mix into yoghurt, cool water or cold milk. For formula-fed babies, add the sachet only after the milk has cooled to room temperature, as excessive heat may affect the live cultures. For breastfed babies, the powder may be placed on a clean finger or applied to the nipple for the baby to take. If professionally advised, the intake may be increased to two sachets daily. Do not add to hot food or drinks.
